Tiffany grew up in Newfoundland and spent most of her weekends and holidays at her family’s four season cabin off the grid.

“It was nothing short of magical to be removed from the city and learn how to adapt with only the resources around us.”

The nearest community was an hour away (which was an adventurous skidoo ride in the winter) so being prepared, resourceful, and creative was a must. Tiffany learned to knit, sew, crochet, prepare wild game, and garden. Nothing went to waste and everything was precious even in its imperfection.

Her curiosity for applied arts and lifestyle led to gaining post-secondary eduction in fine art with a focus on art history, furniture history, and a speciality in textiles. She continued on to the Algonquin College where she graduated, with honours, from the Interior Decorating program.

The combination of her childhood experience and training has taught her how to work with what she has and marry those resources with new ideas. She learned how to let go of perfection, rely on natural products where she can, make practical selections to withstand daily life, balance varying budgets, organize multi-functional spaces, and communicate new ideas.

Design is not about the superficial application of materials. It’s about layering elements that contribute to lifestyle and instil a sense of well-being.
